Joe Kenney is the engineering director at Waev Inc., an electric mobility provider redefining electric vehicles to make life and work easier, more efficient and more enjoyable. As engineering manager, Joe leads the new product development team focused on providing solutions in the material handling and low speed electric mobility space. With a focus on optimizing customer value, Joe helps design mechanical systems in the product portfolio, and works in close partnership with the manufacturing, sales and service teams to understand opportunities for product improvements. Most recently, Joe contributed to the development of the first OEM Li-Ion offering for Taylor Dunn in the burden carrier space

Joe’s previous work experience includes various engineering roles at Polaris Inc., including EDP Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Project Engineer and Project Engineer. During his time at Polaris Inc., Joe contributed to the research and development of an autonomous MRZR X vehicle for the U.S. Army and implemented an 8kW laser in the Anaheim facility. Joe also helped stand up the Polaris Analysis Led Design initiative by developing processes and trainings for users to create tools.

A Minnesota Native, Joe now lives in Orange County, Calif., with his wife Amanda. They enjoy camping, snowboarding, playing sports and spending time in the outdoors – from the mountains to the beach.
